Director and Pre-K Teacher
Our Lead Pre-K Teacher and Administrator, Beth Christofferson, grew up right here on Mercer Island. Beth comes to us with a teaching background having worked with social/emotional behavior needs kindergarten students for two years at Island Park Elementary then taking on teaching first grade there for five years. After serving on the Parent Board and putting her first child through Pixie Hill, Beth is delighted to join and support a fabulous team of teachers. Beth, and her husband, Dane, enjoy spending time with their two children, traveling, playing sports, and spending time with family.

Ms. Melissa grew up in Seattle and has lived on Mercer Island for 7 years with her husband and two children. Melissa earned her Teaching Certificate and Masters in Education from UW returning home after earning her undergraduate degree at UCSB. Melissa taught first and second grades at Picnic Point Elementary in the Mukilteo School District for 9 years and 3 years at the Multiple Intelligence Academy, a multi-age preschool before moving to Mercer Island. Her son Will is a Pixie alum and Melissa served on the Parent Board during his time as a Pixie. Melissa loves spending time with her kids Sophie (14), Will (10), her husband Chris and her puppy Lulu. They all love to be outside, playing sports and being active together.
Jennifer crespi (Picture coming soon!)
Jennifer Crespi, grew up on Long Island, New York. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Masters in Literacy. She continued her education at Columbia Teachers College focusing on early literacy. Jennifer has taught various elementary grade levels throughout her tenure, as well as being the building reading specialist. Most recently, Jennifer was a kindergarten teacher where she enjoyed teaching and inspiring each of her individual students through play and child centered activities. Jennifer enjoys doing art projects and crafts. Last year, Jennifer, her husband, 2 kids and their dog moved from Weston, Connecticut to Mercer Island, Washington. She loves going on adventures with her family and exploring their new home in the PNW.
