Pre-K Enrichment Program – Math, Science & Art
An optional pre-kindergarten enrichment program is offered on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Children may opt to enroll for one or both enrichment days. The enrichment program builds on the themes that are introduced in the traditional pre-k class and offers students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of those topics with a focus on math, science and art. Whether it’s planting herbs in the Pixie garden, creating our own water cycle, counting the number of seeds in a pumpkin, or doing blubber experiments in our Exploratorium, students will take a hands-on approach to learning science. They will explore the world of math in a fun and positive setting as they learn to write numbers, measure, create graphs, and work on simple story problems. Studying the works of art masters such as Cezanne, Mondrian, Kandinsky and Monet will allow the students to learn about color, geometry, and art technique. In addition to creating their own amazing masterpieces, students will learn about the cultures and languages of the artists we study. Hands-on fun with creative learning!
